I reported an injury to flight personnel and now someone from the airline company wants me to give a statement. Should I do so?

For example, avoid saying something like, “I knew I should’ve looked to see where the flight attendant was with the drink cart before I entered the aisle, but I really needed to get something from my luggage and didn’t do so.”
